Biography

Daniela is following in the footsteps of her uncle Albert Lindi, a renowned Swiss painter. Having begun her studies in Switzerland, Daniela came to the United States to expand her knowledge and abilities. As an art student in Marin, she began to draw attention to her fresh style.

From the beginning, Daniela has been fascinated by Cubism, geometrical forms and light infusion. This has brought a contemporary style to her paintings, inspired by her experience and her emotions. Daniela, who goes by her first name only, uses color unsparingly in her work. Her pieces exude a sense of joyous emotion, which she highlights as her major goal. "I like to use bright and lively colors," Daniela says, "and lines that are soothing." The curvaceous lines of her paintings transmit sensuality; colors fade into each other and shapes come together seamlessly, recalling early Cubism gestures.

A native of Switzerland who grew up speaking Italian, Daniela longs for a lost "joie de vivre," as she commented. "Having a positive outlook on life brings me to create images and colors that emote harmony and well being in people. We live in such a demanding world, it is nice to slow down once in a while and remember old virtues, to bring more feelings and love to our lives."
